You're about 6 years too late! Or are you looking for its replacement model, the SonicWall Soho? Unfortunately, the last time you could order this appliance was in January 2020. This was then replaced with the SonicWall Soho 250. And although this is still available, yes, you’ve guessed it, another performance improvement has been achieved with the newly arrived TZ270.
Welcome to 2021, the SonicWall TZ270.
The SonicWall TZ270 is the perfect firewall for the home or micro-office. It’s a very affordable product with a throughput that is sufficient for even the most bandwidth-hungry needs. Package it with a full services suite (Essential or Advanced Protection Service Suite) and you have enterprise-level features. The same technology that goes into SonicWall's Supermassive series goes into the robust TZ270 device.
It's not just performance that has improved. With Capture ATP, the TZ270 connects to the SonicWall network enabling it to deal with zero-day threats. Anything that cannot be unidentified by the TZ270 is sent to SonicWall for immediate analysis.
Additionally, most modern-day web threats are deployed over SSL, which the TZ215 (and any firewall from that era) cannot defend. The TZ270 has DPISSL, which ensures that the data transferred to and from these websites can be decrypted and examined.
Selected improvements:
TZ215 (Retired 2016) | TZ270 | |
IPS Throughput: | 110 Mbps | 750 Mbps |
